Last/Final Impression
The final impression may be determined my many different things. Some in which are discussed in other points of my measurement system. The point I wish to make here is the word "Final". This word has a harsh tone itself and if not accompanied by overtones of good feelings and satisfaction, could result in a very poor marketing campaign against your business. The oldest form of marketing and still the strongest is "word of mouth". You do not want to let a customer leave with a final impression that can negatively impact your future business prospects. Once they walk out that door, you potentially may have lost an unaccountable number of potential clients. On the flip side, the better the final impression is, the more likely you are to see future business from others through the good words of one customer. This is where you have a lot of the control. Even when things go wrong, as long as the customer is still with you, you have an opportunity to make things right. You are always working for that good final impression, but don't get hung up on ripples in the water. Stay with the goal and keep working towards the goal. Just as you invest your hard earned dollars into any advertising you may do, if you let people walk out with a bad final impression, I can assure you of two things, first, it will definitely be the "final" impression for that customer, and second, you have lost countless dollars of your advertising because the bad "word of mouth" in this day and age, will combat your ads 10 + x's.
NOTE: The final impression can result from a heat of the moment emotion that the customer leaves with. Keep this in mind when trying to rectify a situation.
